Lock Yard, the bar where Susan and I met in August of 2017 is closing today. Last night was the big farewell party (see the drinks above). Susan and I had talked about having our wedding there if we ever decided to make things official. That was now an impossibility. News of their closing only became known a couple days ago. We got there about 4:30 pm. A little after 9:30 pm, I made a toast to the bar, our friends, and talked about a health scare I had last year that reminded me of the importance of the people in your life, and followed things up with the next best thing given the circumstances:

DIPA, fruitbomb with a melony twist
Hop Hooligans
baltic porter, loved this one with a Mexican chocolate spicyness and the clean lager like yeast character
Funky Fluid
x SOMA 
IPA brewed with grape skins, had a white wine vineous aftertase
Stigbergets
Bourbon BA Stout, very smooth and rounded finish, but nothing else I havent seen from a Bourbon BA Stout.
KEGS
Bockbeer brewed with a type of ancient rye, again that spicy edge to it was quite nice. Normally a bock is all caramel and sweetness, at least to me
Amundsen
pastry stout, the idea of peach and chocolate was as appealing, but this was good.
Hop Hooligans Black IPA, to me a underrated style, paired this with a Bowl of VaPer. Im exploring beer and tobacco a bit more, I think there would have been better combinations.

Was running low on Swedish Punsch, so stopped at the only place I've seen to carry it. Walked out with Swedish Punsch, some beer, some mead, and a bottle of Hogsworth.
Had a glass earlier, quite nice. Smooth and sweet, about 50% bourbon 50% armagnac.
