@cshubhra reminded me that it's been awhile since we had the Kilchoman Small Batch Release (Batch No. 5, 1 of 1260 bottles finished in: Sauternes Cask, Bourbon Barrel, and Sherry Cask). After having it neat, we might add a drop of Uisge Scottish Spring Water (from the Ardilstry Spring on Islay) to open up the peat.

Just back from lunch with a few (6 of us) mates at my favourite MalaysianSingaporean eatery which will close permanently in a few weeks - a victim of Covid lockdowns, rising costs and difficulty retaining and hiring staff.

A wonderful meal with the highlights being the S'pore chilli and back pepper crabs. Australian mud crabs will have to be up there with the best crabs in the world.

The wines weren't too shabby either

Grifone, organic white table wine from Trader Joe's. Excellent stuff, and at $4 a pop, it's a no-brainer. I'd pair it with some Peterson Nightcap if it weren't raining, but c'est la vie...

Let's see: Friday -- Beefeater martinis; Sat, Elijah Craig Small Batch (new to use, I found it spicy, my wife found it sweet, and when we added ice to our second drink, I found it sweeter and she found it spicier); Sun, simple vodka cocktails with Tito's. Had been a rough week, so a little extra over the weekend. We'll calm it back tonight.
