I was digging around in my cellar and found a tin of this blend from either 2006 or 1990. The hand written date stamp on the bottom is either a 90 or an 06, hard to tell and it depends on which way you look at the tin. I picked this up with a tin of McClelland Dark Star from eBay awhile back. The Dark Star was compromised as the tin had rusted from the inside and it was definitely from 1990. The seller sent me this Wessex to make up for the Dark Star tin.
I popped it last night to give this a try, having never tried it before.
The bottom picture shows it is just two long flakes in the tin. This is a great blend and I can see why people are stocking up on it. I'm smoking a bowl right now in a Jerry Crawford Lovat and the flake is very smooth with a nice sweetness to it.
The two pipes are both Tinsky's that recently arrived.
