The quote is from everyone's favorite non-scholarly source, wikipedia. It is indeed incorrect to refer to Finland as a Scandinavian country, I do not disagree on that point, but it in the English language, of which I am a native speaker, it is commonplace to refer to any country that occupies part of the Scandinavian Peninsula (which portions of Finland do, specifically the portion he is visiting) as part of Scandinavia. Again, I'm sure it is very different in Europe where people are more sensitive to the issue, or for those from the region, and as I said above, I'll keep that in mind.
And again, I was referencing his entire trip in general, which as you'll see above, included Norway, which I think we can all agree, IS Scandinavian. But thank you for pointing it out, it is a helpful reminder that when speaking with Finnish people they will likely be sensitive to the issue.
