Thank you Jim, Jesse and Matt for your posts; Jim, for helping to fill in the blanks of a beloved member here on the Forum; Jesse for the Bard's meaningful quote; and Matt for linking that memorable post from Banjo. I, too will miss his wonderful posts, the photos and wry sense of humor. I will try to "keep it smokey" in his honor.

May his memory be eternal.

Oh, damn. Unfortunately, I never knew him personally but it was an honor to read his thoughts on the forums. RIP.

RIP, Sante. An invaluable voice here and everywhere else he went.

Thanks to Jim for the personal remembrance.

Events like these make you realize how precious life is and how fleeting it can be. Whilst I never met or spoke to the gentleman I always enjoyed his posts and tastes in pipes and hats. A very sad loss to all of us far and wide. RIP Sante.

I have enjoyed reading banjo's posts and while I never knew the man, one can't help sensing a beautiful spirit. The forum has lost a valued member, but we are richer for his wit and wisdom.

Deepest condolences to his family.
