I bought an ipad, and it has just ruined my reputation as person who can write cohesive sentences. I need to figure out how to turn the word replacement off. Ugh.
I take this thread as a recommendation to tear myself away from burley blends long enough to open one or two of my tins of Va and Va/Per as a turn toward variety. I think I have some nice ones, but can't be recommending them unsmoked. I am enjoying my Dunhill Durbar, which is Virginia based but has Orientals rather than Perique.
For blends that are readily available I would try the following.\
Solani 633
Escudo
Peterson Navy Rolls
The Navy Rolls are very similar to Escudo. When they were Deluxe Navy Rolls made by Dunhill I found them sweeter than Escudo which had more pepper to my tastes. I have both fully stocked in my cellar. They age really well as does the Solani. Fresh I enjoyed the Solani a little more than the other 2.
I definitely agree. A lot of people say that DNR and Escudo are the exact same tobaccos, but there is a definite difference to me. I prefer DNR. I haven’t tried the Peterson version. Is it the same as the Dunhill was?
