When people started talking about Tambolaka, it was because there were rumors that it was on it's way out. If memory serves. I believe that some said that there was no point in trying something that they would most likely never get an opportunity to buy again. I was one that didn't get a chance to try it, but I'm not heart broken. I've been blessed with being able to try a ton of stuff that is hard to get, so... Anyways, another unique one is Cotton Boll Twist. A very, very strong rustica based twist, made in small batches in the US. Good stuff, if you've got the cajoles to stomach it.

Yes, Cotton Boll is quite good! I bought it for when I'm having nic fits and it does the job just fine. It can be a bit rough around the edges and I much prefer the Gawith, Hoggarth & Co ropes but I don't regret buying it in the leaast.

I've got to go with Tambolaka. I'm glad I tried it, not sure if I like it or not. Keep a sugary beverage nearby, though; the nicotine level is a kick in the pancreas!
That's pipes.
The most unique, most fucked-up tobaccos I've tried were in cigarette form. Jezebels were pink coffin nails originally for women when smoking was for men only. Imagine smoking potpourri sprayed with rose Febreze! Hideous! Also Soviet-era Belamorkanals. The closest approximation to the experience can be found in a classroom pencil sharpener. :P
