First, thanks for taking it seriously. As to your question I can say with high certainty it was NOT natural. The way it moved showed an intelligence behind it. I've tried to figure a way it could have been an AF test, as that was the main activity at Eglin (Air Force armament development and test center) but no way. At that time I was in a position where I was involved or knew about everything that was going on at the base all the way up to Top Secret.
A couple of other points: If someone wants to know what we are up to scientifically, and especially with regard to weaponry, then Eglin would be high on the list of places to watch. Also, tests were not conducted right in the center of the base. They were conducted at one of the "ranges" which were scattered over the 800 plus square miles of mostly wilderness. And the fact that I was never interviewed about the incident is not surprising. Project Blue Book had been closed the previous year and the AF officially had no interest in the subject of UFOs. It seemed this disinterest even applied when they were flying around some of the most closely guarded secrets we had. Researching UFOs was probably considered a career killer. As for me, I didn't give a damn about that as I had not intention of making the AF a career and I only had a few months left.... which meant I was so short I could sit on the edge of a dime and dangle my legs.
