Anyone have one of these? Do they color any differently than standard meerschaum?

Hmm. I wonder if that could possibly be the case. I would hope it would be just as strong and durable as standard meerschaum, but I know nothing about them. I'm also curious just how rare a translucent block is.
It made me think of translucent teeth. A condition that made all of my brother's teeth chip and shatter.

This might be considered one of those. This is what it looks like after 40 smokes.
I've got a Bekler/Butera that was quite translucent, there were areas where it looked like you could see into it a good quarter inch. As it's been smoked the translucent areas have colored quickly, it now looks like there are layered scalloped patterns developing. I've only smoked it a dozen or so times because it looked pretty weird compared to my other meers that colored smoothly; now that I know what's in store for it I may have to devote some serious quality time to it.
