I like Penzance, and buy it when it's available from retailers. Pembroke is at the top of the heap for me, but I only buy it when it drops...

As far as English type blends go, I like them on occasion, and there literally hundreds of blends out there. And I prefer to smoke them when they have a few years of age on them.

When I smoked English blends I enjoyed Penanx\ce but I also really enjoyed Two Friends Deacons Donfall just as much. It was made by GL Pease and Craig Tarlar from C&D. It is always in stick and you should grab a 2 ounce tin. Very complex . I would use a large Castello or something similar. you may find your self not bothering with Penzance ever again.

Get some LJ Peretti Royal and you'll forget you ever smoked Penzance or anything from Seattle Pipe Club. The only thing that made Penzance highly desirable were a few missed shipments in the late 2000s. It can often be found at retail at B&Ms.?

While taste is highly subjective, I have to disagree. I like it, a lot, and enjoy it for what it is. i stocked up prior to the tulip mania, and still enjoy it, no matter what the imbeciles who pay through the noe may say or do.

Who makes LJ Peretti's Royal?

While I enjoy many of the GL Pease branded blends, it should be noted that he doesn't make any of these.

I've probably been smoking too long. It doesn't distinguish itself enough from the myriad of other latakia blends.

Who makes LJ Peretti's Royal?
All I can find is manufactured by LJ Peretti.

Do you prefer Royal blend or Omega? Looks like the place to purchase is directly from LJ?
