I have heard that men 25-55 probably won't show symptoms, but this will make it easier to spread it around. And, elderly and infants are the most at risk, and especially smokers. Not restricting yourself in some way could be endangering loved ones.
I would probably take it harder, because I usually always get lung diseases as they pass through, pneumonia, infections, walking pneumonia, etc... So, I am just being cautious.

Ha, before we found somewhere to buy toilet paper, Mrs. Cosmic and I were discussing options. One was using rags and washing them... I managed to spend an entire day looking... finding one WalMart 45 minutes away that had toilet paper. If we did the rags thing, I know who in this household would get the short end of the stick on washing them.
At least you live somewhere where leaves are either out or budding...here in CO all we have are pines and spruce this time of year. It works, but not well and only if you go with the grain.

We have access to tons of cobs, but those would hurt like hell. I'd turn to softening some junk mail and local newspapers before I'd use those.

Fortunately for us, living where we do, we already have a couple months worth of TP stocked up from our quarterly Costco run. However, there is no evidence of a TP buying frenzy here like there is elsewhere. Likely because most Alaskans are aware that there are dozens of things far more important than TP that one would need to survive for long periods without going to town, hahaha.

Interesting. Our corn cobs laying in fields are soft and fluffy covering on a good solid cylinder. Perfect other than you have to get rid of them afterwards.

Truthfully most people in alabama probably havent been using toilet paper for that long, in the grand scheme. I know Ive heard a lot of stories about using the sears catalog exclusivley, back in the day.

In high school, in English lit, we were assigned to read Samuel Pepys' "The Journal of the Plague Year," about the bubonic plague in England during the sixteen hundreds, which is actually pretty interesting, especially if you don't read it as an assignment. We were also assigned to write essays about it. One of my classmates entitled his essay, "The Plague of the Journal Year." Our teacher, "Granny" Given, played grouchy but clearly enjoyed the joke.

Hope you still have your copy. You may need to wipe your ass with it soon.
