Captain, I have no issues with the guy's religious views, I just don't think they have any place on a tobacco review site. I know I'm going to heaven - all lawyers do.

 Nice one.
And a little SNL thrown in for good measure.
True, funny stuff too BTW.
By the way, I do agree that it can be seriously annoying to sort through all the crap reviews to find a good one or two. There are a couple tobaccos, 1792 flake for example, that have a ton of crap reviews and only a few that give complete, useful information.

I like Tobacco Reviews.com. I find it entertaining. There is a reviewer in today's list of new reviews who has posted reviews of 17 different tobaccos. Those I ignore.

I just ask you guys when I'm looking for something. Big kudos to Roth for recommending Man's Best Friend; definitely enjoying my English experience at the moment. Take care guys.

My panties are twisted very tightly.
Very true. That is a trait of mine. It is also this same trait that has in large measure contributed to a very comfortable life. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Yeah I also just use it to see what is in a blend. For that it is helpful. I think we all know by now that our tastes all vary and we aren't going to take somene else's word for it unless we try it ourselves.

Mommy MOMMY make the bad men stop, Peck you are a whining biatch, did someone shit in your bowl of Maypo or what? hehehehe
Seriously, yes there are tons of morons who have no business reviewing tobacco on that site. I do not believe Jon Tillman still owns it because when he did, he would delete assholes like Tation. If he does still own it then shame on him. Whoever owns it needs to wake up. Now in regards to how to use the best tobacco review site on the web, when you look at a blend, keep hitting previous until you get to the beginning first page. Then work your way backwards for a few pages. Look for the older reviewers like Tantric,Newman, Paul Tatum, pipepundit, Paddy, Eulenberg, Colonel Panic, Beer, Sykes Willford and a few other of the old guys. See which of these guys have similar tastes to yours and then do searches on those guys. I have found tons of my favorites on that site because of the old guys who know how to review tobacco.

I use LuxuryTobaccoReviews.com which is a difference web site and is pretty good. No religious reviews.

You know, Luxurytobaccoreviews is such a better site. Sure it isn't as well promoted or recognized. Sure it has crap reviews too. Sure it has no reviews by most of the reviewers I respect and tend to agree with. Sure many tobaccos have only one or two reviews. Sure it has only 16% of the number of different tobaccos as compared to the other site we're discussing. The important thing is that people are injecting unrelated poetry into their reviews rather than exposing me to religion. That's so much better.

This from a guy who was ranting like a complete lunatic a few weeks back because the shape of his beloved pipe cleaners changed?
Harris 6:66

Good to hear Captainsousie - I knew you'd come around to my point of view sooner or later. :D
Captainsousie 1:1
"In the beginning there was light, but he pretended it was dark and then he pretended to create light and in so doing, all would have to kneel before him forever, but no one else saw his light. He was sad."

To paraphrase Matthew, throw out the bad crap and keep the good. Even the bible has some reviews that don't go over well but it still might be a good read.
I use all of the review sights and can figure out the a-holes from a true review. More information is better so it's OK to have to read and understand the shit from Shinola.

I've always felt like the reviews on that site are a place for people who like to have a thesaurus handy and write bad prose.

I'm in agreement with the group... TR.com used to be THE source and it's now a joke. It's just a shame.
Regarding luxurytobaccoreviews.com, it's not much better I'm afraid. No flowery prose, sure, but does EVERY blend need a 5 star rating?!
If everything is special, then nothing is.

This is a lot like getting news from the Internet. I like to browse several different sites before making my own judgements. One mans poison is another's nectar. I also like to see movies that get critically panned. They usually turn out to be hidden gems.
