Well, if you genuinely don't understand the issue, then my advice is to Google GDPR and how any company, even outside the EU, has to adhere to it when handling EU customers' data.

GDPR got dumped on me a year or so after I started up my own business and website. It was a PITA for a while, but quite manageable. As a natural optimist, I expect STG to reopen access to tobaccoreviews.com in a couple or three months once they've sorted out their conformity protocols. Or decide to sell it on...

There are 27 countries in the EU. They all have different laws surrounding tobacco and alcohol. I wouldnt want a tobacco site, especially if I were a huge business. Its like putting bait in front of a zillion hungry attorneys.

I think most of us just have the perspective of our own education system...concerning the naming/dividing of continents I have found there is no universal agreement about it, I have seen my country put into Oceania, Pacifica, Australia, Australasia...
