Tobaccoreview Not Accessible From Outside the US?

I travel a bit and get weirdness/odd accessibility solely based on the state and/or country I'm in. Both with and without my VPN (Surfshark).

Apparently the server on which Tobaccoreviews is hosted is supposed to be switched. Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

On Friday afternoon I started receiving feedback from users that they were blocked from the site. There was a theme of users outside the US, but as we've had issues with IP's being unnecessarily blocked by our security system in the past, and I hadn't been informed of any change to site access, I assumed this was a technical issue and reached out to our developers to address as I always do. However, they got back to me and informed me that they were instructed to make this change restricting access outside of the US and Puerto Rico.

I'm sorry to those this affects. I wish I had more information, there's really nothing more I know at this time.

You can do a search for "pipesmagazine jiminks review of ______" and you should find what you want.

Or, you can use a VPN and set a US server, and that should get you past the blockade. I wonder why STD decided to block access to people outside the US?

When I did a test run, using Folklore as the tobacco, I got quite a few specific hits for this forum. Maybe you are using a different search engine than me.

Because as Leonard W said they are highly conservative regarding legal matters. Allowing access to a tobacco related website could be forbidden somewhere, so they block everywhere.

That makes sense, but they've effectively owned the site for 6 months without doing this. Why now and not six months ago?

Just noticed this morning that I need to connect through a US server to access tobaccoreviews.com. Otherwise i have this: View attachment 369387 Does anyone also need to use a VPN to access TR?

Ah... I thought it might just have been me. The advice to email the site owner about the problem is also somewhat unhelpful. Still blocked, by the way (UK).
