Tobacco Reviews Website Update

TR has a new update which is saw for the first time last night. The bottom of the TR page states its a "STC Holdings LLC, a division of Mac Baren USA".

The website seems a little clunky on my phone but flows a lot better on a desktop. That being said, the site seems to load much slower and Ive already gotten several "Error establishing a database connection" messages when trying to click on links.

TR's update also includes a forum. Ill be curious to see how the forum stacks up.

I saw that too. I was trying to look up something this morning and couldn't get in. I figured it was just site updates.

I can’t get into the site this morning, it’s just hanging after clicking yes to over 21.

No issues accessing via MacBook or iPhone, just a little slow between tasks which I assume will sort itself out. Looks good, IMO.

I keep the site open all the time and just jumped over there to see for myself. It's got a different look and currently much slower than previously. That's all I noticed on a quick check.

I just tried connecting and the browser just sits there spinning. It took seven minutes to get to the "age verification" page. It took an additional five minutes to open the site.

I tried opening it with several different browsers. The site worked with none of them. Safari and Firefox both hang and Chrome won't go beyond data base errors.

I wonder whose witless nephew was hired to revamp the site?

No real loss to me. I rarely went to the site as most of the content was drivel .

It was purchased some time ago. This is a completely new site and they are actively debugging now. The site is a thousand times better and the search function works for the very first time, flawlessly at that. Shortly the slowness issues should be worked out.

It's hard for me to eval a site that won't open, but I hope that you're correct. The last iteration was made needlessly complicated by removal of the alphabetical menu that took you right to the brand or blend.

Its embarrassing rolling out a site that poorly implemented. How do you not QA basic site basic site function before release.

There are probably other methods but I think the most common way is to select a poor third party vendor.

And yes, it’s embarrassing but I’m sure it’ll get sorted out. There’s no mystery about how these things work.

It's hanging for me at the Age Verification screen. I haven't been able to get in at all this morning.
