C & D Winchester does it for me when I get I get a cigar craving, it doesnt have cigar leaf, just burns similar sort of.
SecondedI suggest Tabac Manil Semois. Copious amounts of smoke and less pipe-tobacco like than any other pipe tobacco I've smoked.
There is only one blend in your list of four in your post above this that I think is worthy of more than 3 stars, and I won’t say which one. ?. But there is a lot of wisdom in the post I quoted. There are good blends out there that have a modest amount of cigar leaf as a condiment, like Peretti Cuban, but they don’t usually have a cigar forward taste, at least to me.
That you could spend 18k a year on cigars tells me all I need to know about your taste buds. That you confess it tells me all I need to know about your wisdom?I don't blame you at all for not having the taste buds good enough to appreciate all my blends.
Cigars are my first love, but I've been piping for 5 years. I've never found a blend that gave me the satisfaction of a cigar when I want big bold flavor.
The pipe has its place, but it's a different thing that needs to be appreciated for what it is.
That's my two cents.
bunches of Trinidad Fundores
When I was smoking cigars and pipes at the same time, the cigars would mask the best flavors of my pipe tobacco. Once I quit the cigars for a few weeks my pipe tobacco was so much better I ditched the cigars and did not ever looked back. I find the complexity of pipe tobacco to be superior to a cigar.
I was smoking tons of great Cubans, Fuente's Padrons, Davidoffs , Ashton Cabinets, Diamond Crowns and bunches of Trinidad Fundores

Have your tried any of the ones I mentioned? I used to help run the largest cigar club in Chicago and have tried a lot of different cigars and have found the GH&Co Brown ropes or Dark Birds Eye, Dark Plug to be in the heavy maduro range though not quiet as sharp (I admittedly don't care for cigars as much as pipe tobacco.). If you haven't tried them, I think you'd really appreciate them, especially with a 1/8 of latakia tossed in.
I haven't yet, I'll put those on the list. What kind of cigars do usually enjoy?
Royal Jamaican was my favorite as well.My favorites at the time were Royal Jamaican's Special Reserve before the actual Jamaican factory was destroyed. I also liked Ashton and Griffon Maduro.
