I had a Falcon with a set of Hunter bowls back in the day, it was an okay smoke, but the constant unscrewing of the bowls to wipe out the humidome after each smoke was a pain and the occasional juice leaks where the bowl screwed down was also a pain, not to mention the bit was uncomfortable to clench. Definitely not a pipe for the on the go pipe smoker. I eventually got rid of it after the novelty of it wore off. But I would recommend them to anyone who likes to fiddle with their pipes and doesn't mind the little things you have to do to enjoy a Falcon smoke.

I finally found a Falcon stem in stock on EBay. I bought it and ordered a Meerschaum Pot bowl/tamper combo from Meerschaum Depot off of EBay, as well. Both arrived today. It is raining so, I probably will not have an inaugural smoke until tomorrow. This was the smaller part of my PAD for the week. My “bucket-list” pipe purchase was shipped yesterday. I will give the lowdown upon its arrival.

I've always gone back and forth on Falcons. I love the idea of bringing the stem and a bunch of bowls instead of a few cobs. I like the idea of $40 gets a new bowl for a whole new pipe. But I'm really having trouble getting over the looks. They look so unorthodox and it's hard for me to get past that.
