There is no error.

Search Amazon for any given item. That item is available from a particular vendor, or related groups of vendors, at multiple price points.

I may sell less bundles of pipe cleaners at $50 than I would at $5, but if I sell only 1 at that price point it's worth it from a seller's perspective.

Not if you miss out on 50 sales at $5.00.

In the semi-rural NorthEastern USA
The pipe smoker disappears
to his secretive places
for hours on end.

In undisclosed places
he hoards his pipes,
tampers, and lighters,
close to where
he keeps his stash
of bundled and jarred tobaccos.

An agent of no one,
the pipe smoker
remains,
silent and quiet,
waiting to take his next smoke
when no one's around.
so he's like a 1950's communist or homosexual?

You'd sell fewer pipe cleaners at $50, as in none, if the going rate is near $5.00.

Premium pricing theory doesn't work so well for fungible items.
Discussions about 'premium pricing theory'* notwithstanding, all you have to do is ask yourself whether this situation is within the bounds of your theoretical framework or an altogether improbable outlier given the intelligence of the average internet shopper:

If it is probably then ask yourself if it doesn't happen millions of times a year.

*which I don't want to enter into on a pipe forum or anywhere else, really
+1 for using 'fungible' for the pipe cleaner 'widget'
