I didn't want to say anything before it was official and jinx them. I grew up watching the Braves with my grandfather who was a huge fan. Kinda surreal to finally see them win another World Series!

The Braves have always been a big part of my life. I grew up watching games with my great grandmother and the love for the team has never left. I remember commenting to @jiminks at the All Star break how hard it was to watch them this year. I could have never guessed that they would make the turn around they did. I am in total shock.

You know I always for the Braves. I was surprised as well. I really hate to write this, but if Acuna had not been hurt, and the Braves were forced make those trades, they would not have won the World Series because they didn't have the hitting depth to make it. And this is coming from an Acuna fan.

The Braves is a good organization. My son had a try out in the old stadium back in 2003. They put us up for the night and we all had a good time. It was something to go down the player entrance to the dug out.

It was his decision, but I am happy he turned them down and got a degree.

This is circuitous thinking, but as a Chicago fan, first for the Sox and when necessary for the Cubs, I was pleased to see Atlanta win the series after all their years of waiting. Chicago baseball fans know the feeling well. It's a like a rebirth, a chance to look at your team(s) in a whole new era. But the Atlanta drought was piddling compared to Chicago's endless time in the wilderness.

Glad to see the Braves win and the Astros get what they deserved. I remember those years ago when the Braves had Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz. Why they didn't win the World Series every year back then is beyond me. What a team. It was always fun to watch Bobby Cox chew out an umpire.
Because the Braves seldom spent money on their bullpen. That was always a problem for them in those days.

As for the Stros, only Dusty Baker's personna gives some good feeling about the team. And the effing Dodgers! The beat us Giants by one run over 162+ games, in a loose way of putting it.
I was pulling for the Giants. I am a fan of Mike Yastrzemski because I was a great fan of his Grandfather, Carl. Since he really didn't have the year I'm sure they exspected from him, I wonder if he will become trade bait. Wouldn't it be ironic if he ended up in Boston in right field.
