I started a thread last year to show off your smoking rooms. Well since then I sold my house, and all of my plans changed.

Now I live in a single wide trailer, with my daughter. Since my daughter is with me 4 days out of the week minimum, I won't be smoking inside.

A little 4x6 shed is coming my way next week.

My plan is just to have a nice chair, end table, space heater and overhead light. I won't be storing anything inside it, due to heat and cold.

Will post more pics during the setup/customization.

I would appreciate more ideas for the interior (Decor, lighting etc), though I won't be going too crazy. The fact that I'm doing this is crazy enough lol.

Looks like a nice little space to relax and enjoy a pipe. Do what you like, but I would want some ventilation. You will be breathing a ton of smoke in that small of a space. I have a “smoking room” in the basement that I put an exhaust fan in.

For lighting I would add a table lamp next to you. Nice for reading and sets the mood more than an overhead light alone.

I am in the process of building a smoking patio on the side of the house with a retractable awning. The space is 20x9 feet and it has a wrought iron gate at the entrance with a back wall and fence made of cinder blocks boarding the sides with the other side the actual house wall. The space will be lit at night with a string of light. My bar and patio furniture will fit nicely and provide me a space away from the rest of the family where I can enjoy my privacy. It’s good to have a space of one’s own.

For lighting, I have a similar-sized shed, but it's wood, sturdier and made for lawn equipment. Anyway, I got a solar powered light from scAmazon a while back that has held up for years. It has a pull chain to turn the light on and off and hangs from the ceiling. Solar panel on the roof charges the battery through the day. Can't say how long the battery lasts though, I rarely need to go in the shed at night and never for more than 5 minutes, but this could be an option.

However I think the better idea will be to run power to it if you want heat for winter, just 1-2 outlets is all you need, I guess one for a phone charger and a lamp and the other for a heater. Just put the shed on a separate breaker and bury a line out to it (bury it in in-ground conduit obviously). Probably get an electrician for that part. Though I suppose if running power, you could just install a light in the ceiling and a flip switch for it. Just depends how far you want to take it.

put a recliner in there, with an end table, table lamp, and a side board...
I love this thread. I like the recliner idea but it will invite pests. Too many hiding places for rodents and spiders.

I smoke in my garage and love it.
I have a comfy office chair and an ottoman of sorts to keep my feet on. Also have a small coffee table and I use the surface of a small freezer to my left to rest my pipe and coffee.

It’s best in the Fall when I can open the door for ventilation and scenery.

I’ll be interested to see your Shed of Solitude.

First question is will it be electrified? By extension cord or hard wiring?

Assuming it will be, and the space heater you mention isn't a propane lil' buddy - you priorities should be 1. A way to latch the door from the inside. 2. Ventilation: mount a fan blowing out on the gable vent. And 3. Insulation and a covering for it like drywall or the paneling. Don't sit in a room with rigid foam insulation exposed to a heat source, it'll give off nasty fumes.

If you're still in Southeast Wisconsin, get to a Milwaukee Pipe Club meetup. Every Sunday around 4 at the goat shed. They'll be a great resource for a project like this as most of them have had to do a similar thing
