Me neither - I wouldn't touch those prices within a football field for 1 container of tobaccoI recognize that I'm privileged to have been around long enough to have identified and bought a decent supply of the 4 or 5 McClelland blends that I really like when they were available at retail prices; enough to last me a couple of decades if I'm careful. That also means I've smoked enough of it to know that, while they are some of my favorites, I'd never consider paying $285 for a 100g tin.
However, for the seller's sake I hope PT Barnum was correct.
And one of the most ridiculed for its ability to resist burning.I think Dark Star is one of the hardest to find.

You're not wrong! However, it occurred to me that most of the cigars I buy are over $7 each...so...well, dark star is kind a good tobacco for those who figure out how to burn it (I did). But, $285 is alot of money for a tin that sold for under $20.That’s a little over $7 a bowl for me. Bit pricey.
Calling it asbestos is being kind. It's like petrified wood.Dark Star Asbestos blend.
