I'm not a fan of these high-goal games. I looked up the regular season between Edmonton/Tampa Bay and AVs/Tampa Bay. I'm assuming Tampa Bay advances.

Tampa/Edmonton - split two games, total goals - 13
1st game - Elliot/Koskinen goalies
2nd game - Smith/Vasilevskiy goalies

Tampa/Av's - Av's win both games, total goals - 12

I wonder which star player Trouba is going to take out for the Lightning. Round 1, high hit on Crosby, concussion, out. Round 2, high hit on Jarvis, (likely) concussion, out. Round 3: Stamkos? Kucherov? Point?

Good question. Certainly wouldn't be very "Gallant" of him, would it? rotf

No need to escort me to the exit, I'll just show myself out... ?
On NHL radio last week,Paul Coffey quoted Conn Smythe about the playoffs:

If You Can't Beat Them in the Alley, You Can't Beat Them on the Ice

Today, one of the shows said the key to opening up some scoring could be "accidentally, on purpose" bumping into Shesterkin or Vasilevskiy.

NHL radio was all about rest or rust yesterday, the announcers all chose rust (and picked TB in five). So, a surprising result. I thought they were going to yank Igor for concussion protocol, guess he's OK.
