Avs firing on all cylinders. I agree with Gretzky, they need to settle in and play some defense. Oilers can strike back in no time. This is far from over. Great hockey for sure. I'm tired out just watching it.

Well that was a fun game 1. Colorado is really fast but the Oilers never gave up. Just that ol' Game 1 Magic for Mike Smith, but I would expect a dominating performance in game 2.
Oilers should start koskinen game 2. He was better and I think has better history against Avs . No numbers to back that up though.
They were saying 'upper body' last night on the broadcast. I suppose that's as precise as we will get during the conference finals.

Score could have been a lot higher too with all the good chances both teams had.
I'm not a fan of these high-goal games. I looked up the regular season between Edmonton/Tampa Bay and AVs/Tampa Bay. I'm assuming Tampa Bay advances.

2nd game - Smith/Vasilevskiy goalies
Tampa/Av's - Av's win both games, total goals - 12

If the pattern holds, look for a stronger outing from Smith tomorrow and a more reasonable goal count.
Some are saying a possible eye injury problem for Kuemper. Not good. I also thought he took a shot to the head (from a puck).

Today, one of the shows said the key to opening up some scoring could be "accidentally, on purpose" bumping into Shesterkin or Vasilevskiy.
