roth, I totally agree with your thoughts about supply. Mac Baren has proven to me that they get it. Their ability to keep up with the demand for ODF is admirable and appreciated. They are a forward thinking company that realizes they better get all they can while the getting is good. I do not see a problem with them keeping pace on the Capstan products. I hope you like the Blue and the Gold as much as I do.
Tenn, Harris Is Fronting me the scratch so we can boost Capstan sales and for every 20 tins that get sold we get a tub of Carter Hall, you don"t know it but Harris is a secret Carter Hall smoker. :nana:
The blue is delicious. I enjoyed your review Harris. They should get you to write up, a blurb for them. I will be ordering more after I sell some pipes.
Bradley, lol. I actually do smoke CH about once every month or two when I am running errands. I get a real cinnamon flavor from that when I smoke it in my Savinelli Hercules. I have never tasted cinnamon in blend before, do you get that flavor at all?

After smoking 3 bowls of the Gold I am planning on stocking about 30 tins of it. It is very close to my other morning smokes which I do have a bunch of so I don't need that many. Now the Blue is a different story, my goal on that one will be around 100-120 tins.

smoking, I know what you mean, just when I thought I was done adding different blends to my cellar, this comes along and now I have to do some serious loading up. I have been just filling in the last few months with no new blends added.

Actually I suppose it was Harris. I loved the pre-light draw and the char light. It just worked for me.
I fell in love immediately also, I couldn't get through half a bowl without ordering a bunch more. It is rare when a blend hits me like that so quickly.
Ok, Harris, time for you to stf up. Everytime you come on here blathering about how wonderful the stuff is I end up ordering 10 more tins.

BTW, I just tried Blue Capstan. My gracious, I see what the fuss is all about. That is some sort of wonderful tobacco. Harris was just absolutely right about how good this is. I see "legendary" writ large for this one.

I received my Capstan Blue of Friday and was giddy as a school girl to try it. As a matter of fact, I didn't even bother doing my usual ritual of updating my spreadsheet and dating the tins.
I jumped right in head first and boy was it dynamite. Love at first smoke.
Cigrmaster, I must say everything you have experienced with this blend, I too have been fortunate enough to duplicate. The sweetness on the lips is my favorite part.
I have been smoking this exclusively since receiving it and have subsequently ordered 10 more tins, which should be here Wednesday.
