I do have some of that Wilkes aro's somewhere in my cellar stash. I forgot the lady's name who owned it - nice gal (Judy maybe?). She sold her store. I'll have to dig em' up ad try them out. I used to enjoy Butternut Burley (Scottys?) too, I got some of that somewhere as well.
Back to MD. Last night I read the reviews on TR. wished I'd done that beforehand. I still think Sutcliff's "secret sauce' is 10-30w motor oil . And they just pour it over carrot cake. Then sprinkle in a lil' gunpowder. And into the tin she goes. I reckon those tins will never rust out like the old GLP ones.
Boswells aro's I avoid as well, same thing, just too heavily cased, soggy and no baccy flavor. I love his pipes though (excluding the "grizzly" ones) but he sure does have a following for those monster pipes. He should start selling leather masks and gloves to go with them.
