I dont know if the angle nozzels work on the knockoffs but the ali express oblique flame works on a ligne 1 just fine.

I have 2 L1s. I can get them in France used in nice shape for a little less than an Old Boy. I refurb my own.

If it came to getting a knock off or buying a new one I sure would not spend the dough on new. There are hundreds of used ones sold on the French sale site. When you cross borders even to Germany they double in selling price.

I love my Duponts. I sold an almost new old boy becuase I no longer used it. The feel is just sooo nice. I use an adapter and Coiibri fluid. Im not spending 8 bucks to refil every time. That is just crazy. I guess if you can drop 1200 bucks on a lighter the refil is nothing....

I have 3 knock off ST DuPont L2s and a genuine L1. I used to have 4 of the knoc offs but I left one on a bench out side of a hotel a couple years ago. I don’t think you can go wrong with one of the many knockoffs that are available for around $40 dollars. They work great , look great and feel great in the hand. That said, it has been my experience that they are not all equally well made. I’ve found at least some of the “Memorial” knock offs to be really nice. They require an adapter to fill them, they have the correct color code under the filler cap and they have a serial number (fake).

For the money I don’t think can find a beater lighter although I have been using a PipeMaster a lot lately for a change of pace.

At some point, the knockoff exceeds the sum of its parts and becomes the real thing in terms of dependability and actual use. And you can get parts for it.

I placed an order for my own knockoff Ligne 2 the day after seeing @telescopes in person. Received it last night, filled with Colibri gas, and was off to the races. I am very impressed with the fit and finish, the weight, and the perceived quality of this lighter. Time will tell whether it holds up, but so far the best $35 I've spent to make flame.

I am also interested in the angled flame adaptor -- please share pics/info.

Anyone familiar with Ligne 2 repairs know how hard it is to swap nozzles? I saw one site you can get a pipe nozzle for supposedly but it's not intuitive how one would swap it
