Just save it if you ever pick up a ligne 1. The nozzel comes out with small needle nose pliers pretty easily. Then you screw in the new one. It will only fit a Ligne 1 BR. that is the one with the adjustable flame. It wont fit a Standard Model

I must stop buying lighters. I have 6 now. Time to give it a rest! I think I have more than taken advantage of them being afforable here.

IMO you should get one more to make it a weekly rotation.

Here is a little vidio on ali express
Looks like you pull out the original and push in the new one
Puts a nice scratch in it at :05, maybe not the best way to do it.

That’s it.
Well, now you have to get a Line1. =) I'll tell you, I find them to be much more well-suited for pipe-smoking vs. an L2 anyway. Even if you offered me an L1 with Standard-flame nozzle vs. an L2 with Pipe-Flame nozzle, I'd pick the L1 every time.

I didnt notice the scratching lol. Its good to know the L1 are better for pipe smoking...why is this?

Im not too intersted in the L2. For one thing there are more knock offs. Also, I dont have tools to work in a L2 and I dont need to agrivate LAD any further. Sometimes Acquisition Syndrome gets the best of me.

I find it easier to aim one flame into the bowl rather than two. But it can be done.
Sounds like you probably have the Cigar-Flame nozzle, which on the L2 burns as a single wider flame when turned down, & splits into two flames when the gas is turned up higher.

I have a few reasons, but mainly it's because of the gas flame adjustment.

I should clarify that it has to be a "newer" L1 with the barrel-style flame adjuster, not the original L1 style with the knurled lever by the hinge.

With the L2, you're stuck having to use two hands to adjust the flame, & that's after you've dug out the d-ring flame adjuster. Then you have to light it again & actually adjust it. Then sometimes you shut the d-ring before you're done adjusting it, & you're back to digging it open again. The L1 is open & light & adjust with my thumb if needed. If I'm smoking a pipe, I don't want to deal with the two-handed flame adjusting.

Aftermarket pipe nozzles for l2’s don’t fit knockoffs. Too large.
So it actually can be done. Just need to bore out the metal hole on the base plate a little to fit the aftermarket L2 angled nozzle.

Lord only knows if I will blow myself up! lol. 😂
