Don't think of it as going overboard, think of it as proactivity. Think of the savings against future price hikes. Think of the blends that will disappear. Think of the age you get to get on these good smokes.
I think you have harvests blends very responsibly.

In all seriousness though, the D&R Two Timer from my last order that I had such high hopes for and was supposed to be a pure Burley blend ended up very obviously having Virginia in it, so after having enough people tell me to just buy some C&D blending components and make my own darn Burley blend I decided to give it a try.
Also, after smoking RLP-6 for a month straight while I waited to resupply my depleted stash of Captain Black Original I think I might have ended up actually liking RLP-6 better, so I ordered another ounce for comparison. Lastly, in my quest to try all the Lane produced cherry aromatics the only one I was missing was Smoker's Pride Cherry Cavendish so I figured I'd pick up a bag and give it a go as I work my way through all the cherry blends this spring.
Hopefully this will be my last new blend order for a good long while? Maybe?

Sinse my restarting my pipe smoking last Spring, I have spent around a grand at 2 etailers and haven't got a thing.
I remember back in the day where almost every order had something.....pipe cleaners, tobacco sample, lighter.......something!!

Insanely, Davidus had Folklore priced by the ounce, so if the cashier hadn't been alert I could've gotten this for six bucks.
Last weekend I parceled mine into 3 small and 3 medium jars. It's fairly good fresh, but I have that feeling that it's "young" and will age into something more beautiful. For lack of better explanation, it seems "jammy" right now.
Here we have a 1998 St James and a 2017 dunhill.
