Amphora's product line just never really interested me years ago, but this line of pouched Va, Burley and KY have all left me pleasantly surprised. I tried the KY for the first time a short while ago and, like waving a magic wand, it has quickly disappeared. These 2 were replacement stock and both got jarred STAT. Good stuff. I smoke it often in the evenings. If you like KY, give it a go. Now you know where to send it if it isn't up your alley. ;)
Those various Amphora pouches are the most underrated baccy on the market. Affordable and all high quality broken flake. I even like the Full Aroma, which is a semi aro. It has a little bit of Oriental to keep it interesting. I hope STG keeps these in production.

It does look pretty amazing!!

And to be fair, while it can be seen as a big investment, I was smoking a pack a day before I got into pipes. Still trying to cut down. But, a carton every 10 days adds up. Maybe it's just where I live, but after taxes/shipping, I got 39oz of flake for the same cost as a carton. And I'm certain it'll last me more than 10 days 😅 I was surprised when a quick Google search said a carton is about 13oz of tobacco; some of which is reconstituted floor scraps mind you. I'll take 39oz of nice flake over that any day puffy

So, I guess it was a risk I was willing to take. My tastes very well might change. But, I've also been smoking the same camel lights/blues for... 2 decades now? 😝 I did start on Marlboro Lights to your point though. Tastes do change!!
Also possible that the pipe blends you like today will be liked forever...

And as a former pack a day smoker myself, the calculus can justify all sorts of things. Ask me how I know :)

While not stocked for the “end of days” my comfort level for the current “the sky is falling” sensation is much better.
Hopefully the Amphora KY is enjoyable, as it’s already made in Denmark, and I just tossed in the GLP Géometrié to try a dip in the Oriental pool.

Never had the bulk Sutliff. Good picks on the extras, tho. Hope you dig the KY! :)

I also enjoy Geometrie and a decent list of several other non-lat orientals.

I know many here gush over C&D’s reds, but I love the tangy/vinegary Sutliff RC-515.

“Non-lat” being the key for me. I was also happy to see its above medium on the strength and nic. I’ll have to look into other VA/Or blends once I know if it’s something I want to explore further.

The Amphora KY will be smoked next time I light a pipe.

I also grabbed a good bit of the 515. I also got some 507 stoved. I mix them in about a 2:1 ratio. So stinking good.
