1 tin of GLP Navigator and 1 tin of HU Indaba to try. Looking for a VA/Kentucky.
What an HU VA/Kentucky?

Virginia/Kentucky blend. Indaba is labeled as just a VA/Kentucky and Navigator is a VA/Kentucky with rum. What an HU VA/Kentucky?

Yes, that's why I bought a tin of Navigator and Indaba to try. Hopefully one of them will fit the profile I want to cellar. I enjoyed a tin of Sixpense, but would have liked it better without the perique and Old Dark Fired didn't give me what I wanted. Perhaps one of these will.I thought you said you are still looking for a VA/Kentucky blend to buy yes? If so, what company? That’s why I asked if you are looking for a VA/Kentucky style of a blend from HU.
Noted, and I appreciate the suggestion! I guess my post makes it sound like I'm more irate than I actually am; really, it's more their loss than mine. The deeper I stock my cellar, the less I find the need for anything other than SP. This was just an aberration, I guess; it's hard to find those cigarillos to begin with, and getting them for less than $7 a pack just made my inner bargain hunter jump for joy.I just wanted to say, as an alternative when SPC doesn’t have what you want, 4Noggins seems to be really picking it up, at least they have been for me.
I just placed my 4th order with them, and all of them fast and smooth. My 4th order the other day was for HU Tobacco, they shipped it the following day, and expected here Monday.
Hopefully they are doing good for others, it’s always nice to have alternatives.
Wasn’t wowed at first and had no interests in buying more. Like many Pease blends, after you smoke them a bit they really grow on you. If you like Perique and Latakia, go for it. It’s also strong on nicotine. How do you find the Merry Monk? I'm about to buy a tin. Considering King's Fool also...

I will certainly keep 4N in mind, but in looking at my cellar and the last couple things I deem it should have, it would appear that SP will be able to meet my needs beyond any doubt. Which is just as well--California could send the ship full Orwell ahead at the drop of a hat, and I'm confident I'll be in the lifeboat well before then.
Just got some Hal O' the Wynd on my last order a few months ago. Great stuff! Their other blends are great, too. I really love Bagpiper's Dream. Two thirds of my order. USPS lost a tin of Orlik’s at some point. My original plan to start with light to no Perique and work up has been spoiled—oh well.
Had a bowl of Hal O’ the Wynd and really enjoyed it.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll have to add that one to my try list. HOTW is very tasty and well behaved right out of the tin. I’ve laid it out to dry a little more.Just got some Hal O' the Wynd on my last order a few months ago. Great stuff! Their other blends are great, too. I really love Bagpiper's Dream.
Nah, that's my uncle. My brother was crushed to death under an avalanche of hoarded Captain Black Grape cans when the discontinuation was announced some years back. Insurance company tried for years to weasel their way out of that one, but to no avail. The compensatory funds have long since been put into a mix of STG stock and asbestos futures.@Servant King I didn’t know your brother joined…
In deed. Though, I’m more of a BSD guy, if I’m being honest. I wasn’t aware of the Slackware connection.I’m assuming @tmc and @Servant King you both know that’s J.R. Bob Dobbs in your avatars?

I can’t remember if we chatted about this before @Servant King
I know of Bob, because I use Slackware; The Slackware Linux Project - http://www.slackware.com/
Pat the creator of Slackware has always had him as a mascot logo of sorts…
Bob and Slackware are synonymous in the world of Linux.

Unicorn TAD is dangerous. I splurged on a tin of Christmas Cheer a few months back. Now, will I ever have the nerve to pop it open and set fire to it?View attachment 346817
But to go back on topic...my lucky ass has one tin of Dunhill Aperitif coming my way. There's no TAD quite like unicorn TAD!
I sure hope so because it tastes way better when it’s smoldering in a pipe than fermenting in a tin.Unicorn TAD is dangerous. I splurged on a tin of Christmas Cheer a few months back. Now, will I ever have the nerve to pop it open and set fire to it?
Slack v0.99 was my first Linux back in 1994, afair. Installed from about 27 floppy disks lol. That set me on a path which I'm still living off, via a pension. Thanks, Bob.I’m assuming @tmc and @Servant King you both know that’s J.R. Bob Dobbs in your avatars?
