It was pretty dry but actually still smokes quite well with little to no relights.
I’ve since repacked all of it into 1 pound bags. 1 pound is still a lot of tobacco but easier to manage than a 5 pounder. lol.

And the thin walls provide little moisture barrier... at least I think that's a thin walled bag.

Had to try the Per Jensen Bold and Strong. So, ordered a half pound of it and a half pound of Haunted Bookshop.
I picked up some 5 year old Erinmore Flake, a tin of Davidoff Flake Medallion (date unknown but it is rusty and lists as Davidoff in Pinellas, FL) plus this Brigham Algonquin 284. This is my second 284 and one of my favorite shapes.

A tin that the original purchaser bought in 2001, so it's at least that old. Managed to snag it for $29, an absolute steal in my book.

The other day I made the mistake of saying that she has more sewing machines than I have pipes, but then I counted.
Last week I bought some Falcon stems and bowls from tobaccopipes.com, and got the Cringle Flake 2023 for an extra $5. I had wanted to try the Compare and Share but didn’t want to pay the shipping for that alone, so I added that to the order too.
After watching a video, I removed the ribs of a few leaves, rolled them up tight, sliced with a SHARP knife, making a rough cut. Then I smoked it
