Well, it appears that 11 months ago, Pat fell in love with Jesse, then it went all weird and silent until 9 hours ago, civalwar decided to have negative impact on my budget and self discipline.

I saw the jar situation - I'm sitting on some poundage of this stuff and can't justify another pound just for a jar, regardless of how nice it is. My wife said she would make me a nice jar though if I really wanted it, so there's that.

I have a sealed one pound bag that was purchased in 2015 that came me as part of a larger buy out. I didn’t really care about it as I’m not a big Latakia fan. Sounds like though I should hang to it for awhile. I do like DFK though, perhaps I’ll pop that puppy open some day and load up a bowl.

My guess is they're doing the same thing they did when they discontinued HH Matured Virginia, and then introduced HH Pure Virginia. Matured Virginia is made from 21 tobaccos, 17 of which are Virginia, and if I recall correctly MacBaren was having some difficulty with some of the tobacco's in the blend so it was discontinued. It wasn't long before Pure Virginia came out. Going from Vintage Syrian to Vintage Latakia is just a new take on the blend as the Syrian Latakia is gone. Should be interesting to try.
