A few thoughts:
1. Home blending is not going to go away, and for most basic types of blends, results similar to those from the big houses can be achieved relatively easily.
2. Home growing is going to get more important.
3. Obviously, networking between farmers, producers, and fanbase are necessary.
4. Perhaps pipe-smoking can be re-styled as a "revolutionary" or "reactionary" activity.
In the meantime, I am going to keep investing my time and energy into producing my own, whether from the dirt up or using blending components sourced from SPC & PNC.
