A few thoughts:
1. Home blending is not going to go away, and for most basic types of blends, results similar to those from the big houses can be achieved relatively easily.

2. Home growing is going to get more important.

3. Obviously, networking between farmers, producers, and fanbase are necessary.

4. Perhaps pipe-smoking can be re-styled as a "revolutionary" or "reactionary" activity.
In the meantime, I am going to keep investing my time and energy into producing my own, whether from the dirt up or using blending components sourced from SPC & PNC.

Well, fewer and fewer good restaurants in CA stock them any more. There was one OK-good restaurant I went to that I stopped when they ditched their matches.

Believe it or not, I agree with you when it comes to PC extremism. But when the tiki-torch wielders (to use one example) use anti-PC anger to justify neo-Nazi ideology, well that just shows there's still a battle to be won for basic human rights and equality. I'm glad we can call Nazi an ideology. That's a great addition to the discussion. I remember some where on YouTube (If I can find it I'll post it) where one of the leaders of the Alt Right claimed it (Alt-right) was the new left. I could care less about alt right, but I do know some of those weirdos came out of the Occupy Wallstreet movement.
