That sounds great for you guys I'm in truck most of day in town can only smoke when I get out lol so my pipe is still smoking even though it is in my coveralls talking about a gray area
Lucky for me, smoking was still acceptable when I was a copper. Now, I smoke like a furnace pretty much at my work (wildlife photography) and at home. Oh, and the front porch at the kid's house.
If the work rules are too odious, might be time to hunt new employment.
I work for the city I'm the Water Guy responsible for your drinking water I'm 61 years old and with that being said I've got about 3 or 4 years left before I retire so I'm going to keep on sneaking away smoking and a town of 3000 I swear I think I'm the only one smoking a pipe these days or smoking. Or should I say legally smoking
Yes thanks for all the feedback guys it's very interesting the way our world is changing and yes to the comment I do smoke aro tobacco these days I like mix blends that my old backup for at work is Captain black I have found that the smell is acceptable for most people that I'm around
I used to smoke cigarettes outside during my breaks.
Since I only use the pipe now, I have no realistic expectation of taking that much time for a smoke break.
It wouldn't satisfy me, either. I'm happy to wait until I'm home and able to relax these days.
On some jobs I get to smoke, no need for breaks on those if coffee is at hand too. Nobody complains and occasionally someone compliments the smell or asks a question.
I don't have a set job, but most places I have worked, don't mind me smoking a pipe. They like the smell of it vs cigarettes. (As long as it's at the designated area that is)
Never had a problem at the bakery, but I was cognicent of the smell of smoke while I was in the kitchen. Now that I watch the kids I wouldn't smoke indoors. Its also -25c right now, so I won't be smoking outside either!
