I really like radice's pipes so I think I am gonna add a few to my collection shortly. The rotation thing is the best excuse.

I have the straight version of this… one of my top pipes
Man their rind finish is just so cool, and I’m a sucker for classic shaping as well. That’s my kind of Dublin! Rind is my favorite finish by far. I’ve always wanted one, and yet I have 5 Radices and none of them are rinds. Might need to rectify that. Beautiful pipe, I’m glad it smokes great. But after all, it is a Radice. I think they’re up there with the best value for money of any pipe really. If you order them from Italian sites, you can get them cheaper than some big name machine made pipes. Not that I am hating on those either. I love my Peterson’s dearly, but there’s just something about those coral dots that is mesmerizing.

Anyone ever soaked radice stems in cleaning them? I worry about it since the dots are made of wood, but I need to give some a good clean.

I believe the dots are made of coral, at least that’s what I’ve read. As for the stems, again I’ve heard from other folks that most of them are acrylic, which I believe can get small hairline cracks if exposed to cleaning methods such as high proof alcohol, which is what I prefer to use once every few months or so. I’ve never had issues with running an alcohol soaked pipe cleaner through the stems, but I have never soaked any part of my pipes in anything. I just run a soaked pipe cleaner, then a dry one, then buff the stem with a silicone impregnated polishing cloth. That’s about as deep as I get with it, but I smoke my pipes pretty infrequently, relative to most people on here.

Ya, I am hesitant to use alcohol given the cracking issue. I wouldn't soak in alcohol though, I'd use a soap bath to loosen some grime.

about the dots, I had read that they are Japanese toothpicks. Maybe that was a joke, but I can see the being toothpicks.
