Just wait until you see what gwtwdbss and I are creating. Taking an antique design and redesigning it to hold more pipes and storage,
Folks we are so close. It is killing me but I cant post pics just yet.
Here is a teaser for now. I hope to have the cabinet in my man room and be able to post pics during my July 4th break. Thank you Doug!

My little collection, growing by the month. We are about to close on a new house soon, then I'll have a 200+/- square foot study to fill!

I've been looking all over to see if I could find out what this gorgeous little pipe cabinet might be worth. I haven't really found anything so I thought I would ask here. You guys look like you might know a little something about them. It is 24"t x 22.5w x 14.5d. It opens on both sides. It has one spot on the bottom that is knicked up a little. Do any of you know what it might be worth if I were to sell it?

Thanks!

Here is my setup. I have some more bulk in mason jars and some uncleaned pipes in a drawer. The majority of these pipes were purchased back in 1999-2000. I gave up pipe smoking for cigarettes in my early 20's, and returned last year when turned 30. The tobacco was all purchased this year in an attempt to regain the cellar that I had lost. The racks are all Ebay, Craiglist, and Gifts from A.S.P. forum members from back in the day. Racks and tobacco are on a cheap Ikea "Billy" bookcase.

Here's a pic of my Two Cousins rack from last year:

I've added a couple of pipes since the picture, a Stanwell Silke Brun 139 and a Castello Sea Rock #17, so the little Conway Bulldog is now sitting in the bottom of the rack.

This has been such an enjoyable show-off thread and one I have been keeping up with. Very interesting to see all these wonderful pipe racks, stands and cabinets. I'll now update my previous post which consisted of a single image of a pipe-less rack and add the following.
The first few images is of a desk I am converting into a pipe/tobacco cabinet which has been in my family for over 80 years and has been handed down from my Great Grandfather.

Now for a few small pipe racks.

I love the old desk Durham!
I consolidated all of my racks and stands into one cabinet, an old bow-front oak cabinet found at a junk store. It keeps the dust off the pipes and most importantly, out of the reach from our cat. Three "Fairfax" racks fit perfectly across each shelf. I have a collection of "Scottie" pipe stands and those are on the top shelf. I put a set of LED lights in, one for each level.

Being a novice, my collection is very minimal at this point. I was able to modify an old wooden tool box tray and fit everything in it. The wooden tobacco cannister was made by my great grandfather,a Norwegian immigrant. There is a good sized space behind the pipes that stores all of my accessories. It works for now.
