I grabbed this Ser Jacopo from Smoking Pipes tonight. Well, last night actually since it's now after 2:00 AM. I was planning to purchase something else entirely but I saw this and it spoke to me. It will be only my second Ser Jacopo. My first is a great smoker and a favorite among my pipes so I couldn't say why it took me so long to get another. I'll be looking forward to this one. I'll post my own less than stellar photos on arrival.1000000822.jpg1000000823.jpg

Just picked this one up yesterday. Hoping it gets shipped to my wife in WA before she comes down to Houston to rescue me from the researchers and clinicians, so she can bring it and i can put it through the paces this month. Time will tell...

A beautifully grained, chunky Ser Jac L2 Coral Dot.

That's a beautiful pipe. Sounds as if you're there for medical reasons. If so, hope you're on the mend soon.

I'm happy to add this one to the lot. Love that big chunky bowl and the silver work. Grain is decent, too.

Yep, medical procedure. Thanks for the well wishes. I should be back out in the wild sometime within the next 10 days. Hoping for sooner, of course. Showing good progress at this point. Definitely hankering for some nature time with a nice relaxing bowl.

This is one of my favorite pipes. Ive posted it in WAYS many times. Its actually a lafuma estate. I bought it and someone had tried to repair one side (probably a scratch) and they removed the redish stain so the pipe was two colors. I took the pipe down to bare wood and discovered just how great the birdseye was. I contrast stained it and got it back in shape. Its a great smoker as well and very comfortable.
