That sounds about right. The last one I saw went for $880.00 before shipping and taxAround $735 not including tax/shipping.

I'm happy for the seller, good for them. I don't need another pipe anyway.... maybe?I was second highest bid5 seconds left $485 and I was like it’s mine. Poof out bid by $10. My wallet is happy for the loss.
Was it the merchant with the blue towel and Elizabethan tin?I'm happy for the seller, good for them. I don't need another pipe anyway.... maybe?
It was, yes.Was it the merchant with the blue towel and Elizabethan tin?
Same. Before the Heritage finish came out I think Dark Smooth filled that spot as the lowest end smooth.Man they killed it with the dark smooths. I wish they’d just use this in lieu of the heritage finish.
Awesome set, congrats!
My guess is that the heritage stain hides grain imperfections and fills much better. The dark smooth over time creates a very nice contrast.Same. Before the Heritage finish came out I think Dark Smooth filled that spot as the lowest end smooth.
It seems like they figure the stummels that were set for Dark Smooths were either good enough to become Terracotta (or maybe even Natural) or not good enough and so became Heritage.
The prevalence of the Heritage finish and the scarcity of the Dark Smooth finish also suggests that the latter costs a lot more to create.
