And the stamping. Seriously, some of the stamping was really crap. I know I've read that stamping is difficult, but when you pay good money...
What really gets me is when there's an estate Pete on SP and they have the balls to say: "Stamping worn from buffing". Seriously, that's an insult to the customer in my opinion. They should be honest and say: "half-assed stamping direct from factory". :ROFLMAO: And I say this as a lover or Petersons.

I just want to say thank you. LOL
I had that pipe in my cart, as well as the wintertime blend selected. But...I had told myself no more pipes or tobacco until after Christmas. I could feel myself being overcome with PAD, and when I went to check my cart, the pipe was no longer available.
Im so glad that beauty went to someone on the forum. Let us know how it smokes.

I perused them, narrowed it down to 3 in my cart, and compared sides, top, and stamping to narrow it to one.
Others had a better plateau, or something "better" on another aspect, but this one was the "best" overall for my tastes that I saw offered.

There were supremes based off the email. They were probably bought by people that have “special” relationships with SP. They have early access and usually take the most desirable pipes first.
I'd not heard that before. Do you mean like the employees, or the "VIP Gold" people, or some other group?

Did any of our members snag this 1934 Pete 04 System Pipe ? I was seriously considering it when it was in the $30-$60 range ! ;) :ROFLMAO: Although my pub pipe is a 2022 #1 Pete second I am happy to know how much it might bring in the year 3012 !! ;)

I suspect this is/was one of the elusive Peterson "Giants" that Mark Irwin mentions in PPN. I found it interesting that it has a cross in the stamping and I wonder of that was done regularly (?) :
