None unfortunately The first one is Made in England and the rest are Republic and Laudisi eras.If any of those Pipes needing a good home are Pre-Republic...... I am interested !
You getting out of Peterson pipes? You're selling off some fine ones.
Definitely not getting out; just majorly thinning down. I'd love to keep them all but sometimes you need to make the hard calls. You getting out of Peterson pipes? You're selling off some fine ones.
Can you tell me more about 51 52 and 53?
Yes. They were pricey, but they are Sterling silver and look really nice.Very nice. They were just rather on the expensive side for me. But it looks better than I imagined.
Yes, they really do look nicer than I expected.Yes. They were pricey, but they are Sterling silver and look really nice.
Here's the other side:
They let me try it at the factory and it's crazy hard. Once you stamp it, you can't restamp it, so its kind of a one shot deal and you hope you get it right the first time. They need a machine to do it, that might bring better results. Here's the other side:

And the stamping. Seriously, some of the stamping was really crap. I know I've read that stamping is difficult, but when you pay good money...
What really gets me is when there's an estate Pete on SP and they have the balls to say: "Stamping worn from buffing". Seriously, that's an insult to the customer in my opinion. They should be honest and say: "half-assed stamping direct from factory". And I say this as a lover or Petersons.
Congrats on getting one of these!! I love the look of them, but my buying days are mostly behind me now. So now I can live vicariously through you! Lol. Make sure you post when it comes and how it smokes.
First I'm going to make sure it hangs right for me to "clench" it, as that's my preferred method. Then when the time is right I'll break it in, but not right away. Maybe in 10-15 years I'll be sitting still more when I enjoy a pipe and it won't matter, but for now.......Congrats on getting one of these!! Did you happen to catch a glimpse of any of the supreme blasts? Beautiful pipe, btwHere's the other side:
