You're right, that does looks like a 3s.

A super quick clean up of these two Shamrocks, a gift from the ever generous @ashdigger. The 106 is a Pre-Republic and the 998 is an early Republic Euro Shamrock. I re-whited the S On the 998. I post some better photos tomorrow when I’m done cleaning them up.

I am just smoking my SH professor from early 90s..The feeling of that period rustication is out of this world and it smokes amazing.

My blood is Irish, Welsh and English. It’s confusing.

I have two nice old Peterson pipes in my collection. One XL size African meerschaum and a small Peterson N (underlined) Deluxe L 265, a Canadian, both with P-lip stem.



The Deluxe L is marked "Made in Ireland" so it should be from 1947-'49 I found. The meer is only marked K&P Peterson in the metal ring. Unlike most Peterson's I have seen the metal ring has a goldish layer on it.
I do not know how old it is but would like to know. Can anyone here tell me?
