Thank you, I think that is an understatement! I haven't ever seen that so I thought it was jacked up.KapMeer was a meerschaum lined Peterson line, that one has had a poorly executed tenon repair.

Woke up early and pickup up a squire! From what SPEu wrote on their instagram post sounds like they won’t be coming to the US. As of now there are only 5 left. I’m surprised any are left normally these type of releases fly off the shelf.Just picked up a new Sherlock Deerstalker Iora from SPEu. There may still be some left if you hurry. I'm not sure if this are coming to the US market.
THE best looking bent billiard ever created. Shame that it was not quite captured in the 2020 POY.A round com (1945-47) pre-republic 9BC Shamrock. Special thanks to @ashdigger!View attachment 205393View attachment 205394
By the way, will this pipe be smoked or just be a collection piece? If it's the former, please report back how it smokes! A banded 9BC is certainly on my search list too and I'd love to hear if it's a good, average, or poor smoker.A round com (1945-47) pre-republic 9BC Shamrock. B42 is the only current shape to have a tapered stem.Friends, does anyone know if the Deluxe Systems ever (or have ever) come in tapered (B?) stems instead of the saddle (S) stems?
Oh yup that's right. But did the others ever come with the tapered stem?B42 is the only current shape to have a tapered stem.
Did not know some pipes left gapping hole between bowl and stem.
I’m sure Peterson have their reasons but it looks odd to me. Almost like they made a mistake drilling out the mortiseDid not know some pipes left gapping hole between bowl and stem
Most bent pipes from Peterson target upper side of the mortise like System pipes. Other than the obvious reason for having to angle the drill bit, that's all I can think of. At first, I didn't know any better then and it just became normal to me. Now the thing is, they are hitting the center very often and mortise isn't as deep as it used to be. I don't like it. Every other idiots can do that. I want my Peterson way it is!I’m sure Peterson have their reasons but it looks odd to me. Almost like they made a mistake drilling out the mortise
