What does this word “unsmoked” mean? I’m unfamiliar with this concept…

Yeah I know it's odd to some but I've at least 1/2 dozen Petersons (+ others) that are nicer pipes for some future time when I've got more time, perhaps smoke indoors, and am not wandering around outside in the elements (over 90 on my porch near 8pm) and it's just a more "refined" experience.

Even just fighting the wind for a relight and not damaging a nice rim is a thing for me right now (sometimes).

Just planning ahead to have nice pipes to go with my stored leaf for a time of ease & relaxation that is of a greater depth and quality than I live today... Sort of a "retirement" plan.

So knowing my love of all things 9/307 and Shamrock @ashdigger gifted me these two Pre-Republic 9BCs the banded one is the light stain Roger’s import round com version and the other is a Good Health (early filter pipe) Made in London. Both absolutely fantastic pipes 🥹. This is what prompted me to clean up the two System Standards, so I could put all my 9/307 pipes together.

Both absolutely fantastic pipes 🥹. This is what prompted me to clean up the two System Standards, so I could put all my 9/307 pipes together.

Agreed! Especially in that highest grade they had (golden grade?).

Golden princess was their second highest grade. Aboriginal was then top tier finish.

Ok, so I might have some owner bias to work out.
