12.5s is a great shape, with a flake you can get a pretty good smoke, 30-45 mins. If you want to walk the dog, pack a little more than half on a ribbon and it’s perfect.
I don’t know if I posted these before but here are two pipes that are 100 years apart. The Bulldog is from 1898 and the X61 is the 100 year commemorative issue for the PLip Patent.

This year is the 125 Anniversary of the PLip and I’ll be Celebrating System Day with these three pipes. The banded Pete is from 1923 and the two in the foreground are from the Free Irish State (1922-1937) close enough.

Here is my Rua that arrived yesterday. SPeurope was also running a promo that if you bought a Peterson that week you could say yes to a Sherlock Holmes tamper. I did. Happy with the pipe, 2 great slow small smokes last night. Very happy with it. Also they tamper works despite Sherlocks pipe being bent. I tried to carefully move it in position, but it snapped after talking this pic. My wife says, it is ok, "Holmes didn't ALWAYS smoke , only if he had a 3 pipe problem".

be well...I love the Rua finish far more than the typical black blast finish. Am just not that keen on black stains, though do have a number of pipes-different makers-which are stained black. Only 1 Pete that is black, (their black over red is fine) All my black ones are blasted or rusticated as I do not like black stained smooth finished pipes.Here is my Rua that arrived yesterday. Love the contrast and look of the Rua - enjoying it this minute. This pipe is a no-brainer pipe to smoke! Probably why it suits me. I have one black one, in the 9b released earlier this year, and got it because of a really craggy and vertical blast - likely to remain my only black one, but it’s pretty cool.
