These are all Petes. I have sold some of them and edited the Peterson collection down to 15 briars and 7 meers. The ones I have left are fine smokers. I recommend the natural finish with McConnell's Scottish Cake. If the pipe is made of very aged briar (some are, some are not) and well broken in it is a remarkable smoke.

Wow! That’s a great pipe! Exactly the kind of thing he was talking about. How long is the stem? It’s a little hard to figure out the shape from that angle. I’d love to hear more about it. Probably a great smoker, no? Send me a pm and, if you don’t have it, I forward the piece on the patents. Below is one of mine with a shorter stem

I’d wanted a Darwin for ages. I finally managed to snag one in a 2020 Christmas pipe. The ferrule, which is copper plated nickel, is showing a nice patina but I suspect the plating isn’t long for this world. It’s definitely wearing through. All considered I’d prefer sterling silver. The pipe couldn’t otherwise be nicer though.
