It seems only fitting that this tiny chap should follow such an impressive (portion of a) collection. Here is a recent acquisition that is quite strange for a Peterson, not least because my wife quite likes the look of it. It is a Peterson's 'London Made England' Lightweight. It is very small and dainty. I'm not sure of the date, though the 'Special Lightweight' line made in London appear in the Peterson Pipe notes catalogue in 1939, though I think they were still producing them in 1965 so I haven't been able to narrow it down. Included photo with a Bic biro to show how dainty the stem is!

I'm thinking of using this to try out some rope tobacco that I've been warily eyeing given its small chamber size.

Currently avoiding PAD for a Peterson spigot pipe...

I think this is all my Pete’s except for 2 estate System Deluxes that I just got. The 2 on the top left are pre-Republic Deluxes that were my grandfather’s.
Nice collection. Mine was about that size, maybe even a few more. I’ve sold and traded off a few here and there. My Peterson pile is in the neighborhood of 16-20 now.

Thanks. It definitely needs some refining. Looks like it’s about 60/40 in favor of estates vs new. A few are flea market finds that I might not have otherwise purchased if they weren’t so cheap.

Happy Father’s Day. I love the Pete spigots but have never been able to get into the green stains. My loss, I guess, ‘cause that one’s a stunner!
I probably wouldn't have chosen the green stain if I had picked the pipe myself, but I'm very pleased with it as a surprise gift! The spigot smokes spectacularly, btw!

That John Bull, second 1 in at top left corner, is mighty fine. Looks a lot like the only John Bull I have. Not a pre-republic one, but, rather a Dublin and London. Are the next 2 Peterson POTY's?

Those 3 are 999's, Pre-republic Deluxe, Emerald bought new in 2000 and Pre-republic Sterling. I never bought any POYs. They're usually more than I want to spend. Just found another Pete on my rack that I missed. It's a sandblast 88s Dublin shape with sterling band and probably a replacement stem. Don't know what series it would have been from. It is a Republic but haven't had a chance to research the hallmarks.

I added another spigot to my collection.. a Pipe Smokers of Ireland POTY 2019, Tankard/poker.
saw one of these on eBay recently, but found it still being sold by Smokingpipes.eu
bought this one for less than the other one on eBay. Shipping took a while because it got held up in customs in New York, but it was worth the wait.

That's where I got mine. Love it-it's my first spigot and for a great price!
