Because you've spent more than 1500+ usd in the last year with them before taxes and shipping. One of the members of PSOI inquired with SW about many folks losing their badges and benefits on SP lately.Interesting. I'm still silver as of today.
Happened to me. I still send a lot of my business to SP, but much of my tobacco, cigar, and accessories needs are being handled by a local cigar shop, so they don't get as much business as they used to. Which is fine. The only thing I miss is my discount for Petersons went down to 5% from 10%. Oh well. You sure your badge didn't go from silver to bronze and that's the price difference you're seeing? It's happening to a lot of people
Congrats. It's a great pipe.Man I feel lucky, I missed out on the PPN 2024 and I was awake last night when an email came in offering a few of the unclaimed sandblast pipes and I was able to order one. View attachment 361093
I wish I had a local place. I've got a nice cigar shop nearby but they don't cater to the pipe smokers at all.Happened to me. Same here...I wish I had a local place. I've got a nice cigar shop nearby but they don't cater to the pipe smokers at all.
Thanx,.... I was very covetous indeed! love the tubular bowls. now if I could just find a 4AB.....Congrats. It's a great pipe.
I'm very lucky mine does. The proprietor is a cigar guy through and through, but a few pipe guys have encouraged him to make some room for us; and when I last spoke to him, he said selling pipe wares has gone surprisingly well. He just started selling pipes themselves last Autumn. It was a humble beginning consisting of roughly a little over a dozen entry-and-mid grade Savenillis and Petersons and Rossis, but nearly all of them have sold save a few. We even had a C&D rep come in for a really cool event geared as a kind of pipe smoking 101 session. This was just right before the HU tobaccos were made available in the states, so the rep shared some with us in addition to several classic C&D blends. It was a good time, and the shop owner is hoping to have a pipe-centered event at least once every 3-4 months. He even get himself a couple of pipes. He's pretty enamored with his Sav blue alligator 320KS.I wish I had a local place. I've got a nice cigar shop nearby but they don't cater to the pipe smokers at all.
I try to visit shops that slightly cater to us Pipe guys. I've got a list on my Google maps of the shops that I've gone to that have nice selection of stuff for the pipe smokers.I'm very lucky mine does. Since he took a considerable risk on us, I try to get as much of pipe and cigar stuff from him. His prices are very competitive, and though his selection of pipe tobaccos isn't huge, it is solid and well-rounded. He even manages to get his hands on some Germain's or Esoterica from time to time. Life's good.
That's how it is at my local go to. They only sell bulks but thankfully it's not just aros, they used to sell Plum Pudding, Crumble Kake, and Molto Dolce and something tells me they won't restock. The owner said they were very slow movers before the merger news. However the pipes move pretty fastI'm very lucky mine does. I'd go for a 102 and 606 either rusticated or smooth in a heartbeatAgreed. I snagged 2 when they came out and they are damn fine smokers, very good actually.
Light weight, easy to clench, proper sized bowls, just winners really.
I wish mine were smooth, but they're both rusticated because I didn't know how much I'd like them.
Part of my regular rotation of about 30.......
Yeah wish I kept the 102 smooth I had instead of returning itI'd go for a 102 and 606 either rusticated or smooth in a heartbeat
