That is really exquisite. What I like about his work is that his pipes are unique but classic, and made for pipe smokers, imo. When I recieved my pipe my first thought was "This was made by a pipe maker, not just a meerschaum carver" if that makes sense. The proportions, along with the fit and finish, belong in a higher category than what I paid for it. After your explanation of the carver it now makes more sense.

There's something about the "shiny" meerschaums, like yours. They look so nice, it's almost like they are fake.
Nah, I got Mehmet to make me that one for my 50th birthday. You're thinking of the one from Emin Brothers I got back in 2019.

I'm really impressed; from my order yesterday to receiving it at my home (from Tyrkey to Denmark) it took 28 hours!!!!
Now I have to choose a tobacco for the first smoke

Congrats! My pipe smoking over the last three months or so have been mostly in my Altinay, I'm very happy with it and I'm sure you will be with yours. The newsletter about the sale was in my spam folder and I had already bought another meerschaum pipe (that I'm waiting for in the mail) when I noticed. Next meer pipe will be Altinay again though I'm pretty sure.IT IS HERE.......
