1935 Hallmarked Shape R9126 (these older pipes always have an R designation, I wonder what it means?)

My first GBD. I found this Collector Prehistoric 77 bent chimney in an antique store for $16. An hour spent with the stem and maybe 30 minutes on the stumble and voila! Smokes beautifully, too. The stem is quite unusual for its angular bend.

The problem is obvious on this one but for $30. I will send it off to get a new tenon.

@snagstangl - Questions about your bulldog: who will do the stem for you? Can the rondell be moved? Can you see the hallmark date?

I haven't figured out where to send it. I was thinking of mike myers at walker pipe repair. I plan on just getting the tenon replaced so not the whole stem. I looked up the halmark once and I think it was in the 1950's. I was hoping to for older but that's what it was. Since I wasn't replacing the whole stem I figured the rondell could stay.

I liked my first GBD restoration so much, I've done another. This one is a Conquest Virgin. It's a good smoker and very light for the size.

Wow! I own a few GBD's but not a single Hallmarked one. HUH gonna have to work on this. Great ones guy's.

Hallmarked GBD's aren't common, but they do show up from time to time.

I added another GBD 9438 New Standard. This one is incrementally nicer than the New Standard I have, so I'll probably list the other one.

Its much prettier now, thanks to Mike at Walker Pipe Repair. He removed the stem and band oxidation as well, no charge. As well as putting in a new tenon.
