Here's one that I find to be a little unusual. It's a Grand Duke with an added windscreen and VFQ stem. this will be my outdoor pipe for the time being.

Here's blasted Grand Duke I picked up chap from ebay. This is the first of its type I've seen. Subsequently, I've seen pictures of other sand blasted Dr Grabow pipes on the Grabow forum. Not a Grand Duke though. I think it's kind of cool.

tuold,I believe that is only the second sand blasted Grand Duke I've seen. Gotta be a Lane era pipe. I bought one a year or so ago, liked it so well I put it on my Skyliner.

I've got two freehands, a savoy, and a white viscount. I'll post a pic soon. I love my Grabows!

Nice one John. That's a beaut. I have over 30 Grabow pipes and a Canadian Grabow is still on my wish list. I'm trying to be more selective (as one more is in the mail on its way to me) and hold out until I find a blasted or Emperor Canadian.
I'd like to get this jewel from Ed's collection. I'd probably have a better chance of leaving with buckshot in my ass than his pipe. :)

Got my First Grabow from Soymilk not long ago and love it but I can find very little info on the Commodore line.

When it was made the Commodore was no. 2 in the Grabow lineup, the Eldorado was top. The Sculptura was it's equivalent in the RJR coupon lineup.
They first appeared around 1964 and were made until about 1992. Early pipes were "blasted" in a cement mixer using walnut shells. After 1966-67 they were blasted by hand using compressed air and media.
