Love that middle one.Three new Castellos bought in a month. All three come from Tabaccheria Corti Lecco Italy.
My friend Luca is excellent to do business with.
- Old Sea Rock shape 67, large billiard: I bought it mainly for when traveling by car. There is a flat surface on the dashboard, and this pipe is flat, so it stays standing and doesn’t move. It never rolls over. No pipe stand or support of any kind is required.
It is the best smoking pipe I have ever had.- Sea Rock shape 15, classic billiard: It is somewhere between group 3 and 4 and is excellent for a quick 30-minute smoke. I appreciate it especially in the morning with my coffee. It smokes strong and offers a nice nicotine buzz.
I’ve had quite a few billiards (7), and all were Dunhills, but this small Castello smokes better than all of them. The Dunhills were all estates, though, and some of them were in pristine condition.- Old Antiquari shape 10: This little gem arrived today, and it’s still unsmoked—until it isn’t. I bought this as a go-to pipe. It is short but has a very generous bowl. If Greg Pease loves this shape and says it’s a great travel companion, who am I to disagree?
